I offer a comprehensive service of Neurologically informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and grounding techniques to help clients reduce their generalized anxiety and panic attacks. This type of therapy combines evidence-based CBT techniques with an understanding of the neuroscience of anxiety and how it affects the body and mind. My approach is tailored to each individual and incorporates a range of proven strategies, such as relaxation tools, mindfulness and self-soothing, to help reduce symptoms and improve overall wellbeing.
I provide an eclectic approach to treating depression, combining Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt and interpersonal therapy with a strong focus on attachment. This approach allows me to create a tailored treatment plan for each client, ensuring they receive the best possible outcome and are equipped with the skills to manage their depression in the long-term.
Gestalt therapy is an approach to psychotherapy that focuses on understanding the individual's experience in the present moment, and their interactions with their environment. It emphasizes personal responsibility and the ability to self-regulate and self-direct behavior. Relationships are at the core of all our work. We aim to raise whole self awareness and experience connection in relationships, helping clients to become more conscious of their own needs and how to communicate them effectively. Through this process, clients can begin to take ownership of their own lives, and create a more meaningful and fulfilling existence.
Trauma
I utilize a combination of techniques, such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients identify and work through their issues. I work with the client to help them understand their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in order to create a personal plan for healing and growth. By combining the best of various therapeutic approaches, this multi-faceted approach helps clients find the best path to their personal recovery.
Addiction
I specialize in evidence-based practices to address addiction and its underlying causes. With years of experience in this field, I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and assessment to help manage and reduce the risks of return to use. At the core of addiction lies attachment issues, which I use to inform my treatment approaches for the best possible outcome.
ADHD
I specialize in skill building for individuals with neurodivergence, such as ADHD. With my years of experience, I can help you develop helpful strategies and skills to manage both the hyperactive and inattentive symptoms of ADHD. These skills can be used on their own or as an addition to your medication treatment. Together, we can find the right approach to give you the best outcome.
